We’re looking for an experienced Supervisor to join our friendly and hardworking team at The Boat Inn, Chepstow.

We’re a busy riverside pub with a large outdoor terrace, serving great food, quality drinks and a warm welcome to both our regulars and visitors.

This is a hands\-on role for someone who enjoys hospitality, works well under pressure and is confident leading a team by example.

What we’re looking for

• Previous supervisory experience in a busy pub, bar or restaurant is essential


• A confident and positive approach to leading a team


• Strong communication and organisation skills


• A genuine passion for great customer service and hospitality


• Someone who can motivate, support and get the best out of the team during busy services


• Experience with opening and closing, cash handling and maintaining high operational standards


• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays

What you’ll be doing

• Supervising the day\-to\-day running of the pub


• Leading shifts and supporting the management team


• Making sure our guests receive great service from the moment they arrive


• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and food safety


• Supporting, training and developing team members


• Helping to create a friendly, welcoming atmosphere for every guest


• Getting stuck in wherever needed during busy services — we’re a team, and everyone helps each other

Pay: From £12\.71 per hour

Expected hours: 8\.0 – 40\.0 per week

• Chepstow NP16 5HH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

• Supervising: 1 year (preferred)


• Bartending: 1 year (preferred)


• Restaurant: 1 year (preferred)
