We have an exciting opportunity for a Substance Misuse Service Manager to join HMP Risley, a Category C male prison in Warrington, with capacity of around 1,100\. HMP Risley exclusively houses persons convicted of a sexual offence (PCSO). Practice Plus Group provides primary care, mental health and substance misuse services across the wings, clinic areas, inpatient facilities, and reception services.

You will be leading the substance misuse service across the site, with line management responsibility for the team.
The service offers a broad and diverse range of treatments to patients suffering from a range of substance misuse issues.

Hours

This is a full time role, working 37\.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am \- 4pm / 9am \- 5pm.

Salary

This is a full time role, and the salary is £43,609 \- £49,175 per annum.

What you'll be doing

As our new Substance Misuse Service Manager, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

  • Having overall oversight and responsibility for the Substance Misuse Team, including line management responsibility, as well as performance management and HR

  • Manage the delivery of a busy and dynamic substance misuse service, providing psychosocial treatment interventions

  • Provide effective leadership to the SMS team, whilst forming part of the Senior Leadership Team onsite

  • Review and improve the service offered to patients, ensuring that the team are delivering a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service to the patients

  • Lead, guide and develop the team

  • Support the Head of Healthcare as necessary
