Information about the job:

  • Job Title: Subsea Control Systems Engineer.

  • Project: Offshore Fleet (Hook\-up Projects).

  • Location: Worldwide.

  • Duration: 12 months (renewable).

  • Start Date: ASAP.

  • Rotation: 56/28 days on/off.

  • Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated Monthly Salary, paid only while working.

  • Overtime: Applicable.

  • Insurance: Provided by the company.

  • Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.
Requirements/Qualifications/Competence:
  • 10–15 years of offshore oil \& gas engineering experience.

  • Proven background supporting offshore production assets (FPSO, floating facilities, or fixed platforms).

  • Practical experience with commissioning, start\-up, and post\-start\-up operations.

  • Strong knowledge of subsea production systems and subsea/topside integration.

  • Experience with subsea control architectures and field instrumentation.

  • Hands\-on experience with electro\-hydraulic control packages, including HPUs and valve control systems.

  • Familiarity with subsea tree systems and hydraulic valve operations.

  • Experience working with ICSS environments (DCS, PLC, SCADA).

  • Experience with Honeywell\-based ICSS platforms preferred.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve offshore control system issues.

  • Comfortable working in offshore environments and project execution phases.

  • English communication skills at a minimum B1 level.
Tasks:
  • Support offshore hook\-up, commissioning, and start\-up activities for subsea control systems.

  • Perform testing, verification, and troubleshooting of control system interfaces.

  • Assist with integration between subsea equipment and topside control systems.

  • Review and validate control logic, instrumentation, and operational sequences.

  • Support offshore teams during equipment installation and system handover.

  • Investigate control system faults and implement corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with operations, engineering, and vendor teams during offshore activities.

  • Provide technical input during system performance checks and operational readiness activities.

  • Support ongoing production operations after start\-up.
