We are looking for a Site Visit Engineer to support structural inspections and site visits across Bristol and surrounding areas. This is a flexible, part time position, with the volume of work depending on market demand and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out structural site inspections of residential and small commercial properties.
- Record structural defects, measurements, photographs and relevant site observations.
- Identify structural arrangements and potential issues for review by the design team.
- Prepare clear site visit notes and communicate findings to the engineering team.
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors and other parties during site visits.
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Access to your own car and ability to travel to site is mandatory.
- Good understanding of building structures and structural engineering principles.
- Good communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients.
- Ability to work independently and accurately document site conditions.
- Applicants currently studying towards a Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering are preferred.
- Previous site inspection or structural engineering experience is advantageous.
This is a part time, flexible role, and the number of site visits will vary depending on market demand. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Pay: £30,000\.00\-£40,000\.00 per year
