Structural Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a Structural Engineer with 2–5 years of UK consultancy experience to join our small but growing engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing structural solutions for residential and commercial projects across the region. Experience designing in steel, timber, masonry, and reinforced concrete is essential.

Duties

• Day to day structural design for residential and commercial projects


• Collaborate with architects, clients, managers, contractors and builders


• Manage project timelines, prepare sketches and liaise with CAD technician


• Undertake occasional site visits


• Prepare CAD drawings, Word\-based report documents


• Produce clear and comprehensive reports, calculations and technical documentation


• Maintain awareness of industry best practice, new technologies and evolving regulations

Experience

• 2\-5 years experience in a UK structural engineering consultancy


• Proficiency in Tekla TEDDS, Tekla Structural Designer, MasterSeries, Word and Excel


• Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high technical standards


• Hands\-on construction / site experience highly desirable


• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, British Standards, Eurocodes and NHBC requirements
