Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a motivated and proactive Strategic Relationship Manager (Band 6\) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to support the strategic management of the Trust’s supplier portfolio, ensuring high\-quality service delivery, sustainable value, and strong supplier performance.
Working under the direction of the Lead Strategic Relationship Manager, you will collaborate closely with Procurement, Finance, clinical teams and wider business partners. You will contribute to the development of supplier strategies, support contract management activity, and help ensure that Trust requirements are met across a designated portfolio of contracts.

What you will bring to the role

We are looking for someone who is analytical, collaborative, commercially aware, and committed to delivering high\-quality outcomes in line with The Leeds Way values.
- The ability to build and maintain strong, effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders to support delivery of strategic objectives.
- Experience managing a portfolio of contracts, ensuring compliance, value for money, and consistently high standards of service delivery.
- Confidence in monitoring supplier performance against KPIs and SLAs, with the ability to identify risks, escalate concerns, and support timely resolution of issues.
- Strong commercial awareness, with the capability to provide contractual and procurement support to senior managers, clinical teams, and project groups.
- A proactive approach to contributing to procurement and contract management strategies, supporting their development and successful implementation.
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex or incomplete information, assess contract disputes, and support well\-informed decision\-making in the organisation’s best interests.
- A focus on identifying and delivering cost improvement opportunities, including both one\-off efficiencies and sustainable savings.
- Knowledge of governance frameworks, with the ability to support policy development and ensure adherence to organisational procedures, including Information Governance and Health \& Safety requirements.
- A collaborative mindset, with experience working across teams and with external partners (such as regional networks) to drive shared goals and service improvements.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- A solutions\-focused approach, underpinned by sound judgement and a commitment to continuous improvement.
