Job Purpose

The Stores Person is responsible for the daily receiving, storing, inventory management, and dispatch of materials and goods. This role ensures the efficient flow of stock while maintaining strict health, safety, and inventory accuracy standards across the site.

Key Responsibilities

• Forklift Operations: Safely operate material handling equipment (Counterbalance / Reach trucks) to load, unload, stack, and move materials throughout the warehouse and yard.


• Goods Inward: Inspect incoming deliveries for damage, verify quantities against delivery notes, and log details into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).


• Stock Control \& Storage: Store incoming goods in designated locations, conduct regular cycle counts, and assist with full stock audits to maintain accurate inventory records.


• Picking \& Dispatch: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare goods for internal distribution or external dispatch according to order specifications.


• Health \& Safety Compliance: Adhere to company health and safety procedures, conduct pre\-shift forklift checks, and maintain a clean, organized working environment (5S standards).

Minimum 2\-3 years of experience in a stores, warehouse, or logistics environment

Valid, accredited Forklift Truck (FLT) License (e.g., RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS, or AITT) — Counterbalance and/or Reach Truck

Basic computer literacy and experience using MS Word, MS Excel and a Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) / ERP software (e.g., SAP, ODOO)

Ability to lift materials up to 20 kg and work comfortably in a fast\-paced environment

Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and a safety\-first mindset

Desirable

• Experience within the energy, power generation, industrial equipment, engineering, or renewable energy sectors.


• Experience supporting battery technologies and/or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).


• Experience using Odoo ERP.


• Knowledge of logistics, inventory, or spare parts management.
