HTS is seeking a reliable, organised, and hands\-on Store Manager / Van Driver to manage the storage, control, and logistics of plant, pipework, and medical device consumables, while supporting deliveries and site operations across construction, pharma, and healthcare environments.
This is a critical dual\-role position responsible for the efficient running of the HTS stores function, combined with safe and timely transport of equipment and materials to and from sites.
Role Overview
The role combines store management, stock control, and logistics support, ensuring that all plant, pipework systems, and medical consumables are:
- Properly stored, tracked, and maintained
- Available for projects when required
- Delivered and collected safely and efficiently
Key Responsibilities;
1\. Store \& Inventory Management
- Take full responsibility for the day\-to\-day operation of the HTS store
- Manage stock of:
- Mechanical plant and equipment
- Pipework systems and fittings
- Medical device consumables and components
- Implement and maintain stock control systems (manual or digital)
- Monitor stock levels and flag reorder requirements
- Transport mechanical and medical gas equipment to construction, pharma, and healthcare sites
- Coordinate and execute deliveries in line with project timelines
- Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and in accordance with site protocols
- Manage stock levels of medical gas cylinders (full/empty segregation)
- Ensure safe storage and handling in line with relevant standards
- Track cylinder usage, returns, and supplier exchanges
- Coordinate movement, storage, and readiness of key plant, including:
- Medical air compressors
- Vacuum systems
- Manifolds and control panels
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant working environment within the stores
- Support logistics planning for multiple concurrent projects
- Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure material availability
- Adhere to all health \& safety procedures, particularly in live healthcare environments
- Ensure correct storage, handling, and transport of medical gases and equipment
- Maintain safe driving practices and ensure all loads are properly secured
- Maintain accurate stock records and inventory logs
- Complete delivery dockets and electronic tracking records
- Carry out vehicle checks and maintain logs
- Full clean driving licence (Category B minimum)
- Experience in a delivery/driver or warehouse/store role
- Strong organisational and stock control skills
- Good awareness of health \& safety practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience managing a store or materials warehouse
- Experience handling gas cylinders or mechanical/industrial equipment
- Experience working in construction, pharma, or healthcare sectors
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and accountable
- Safety\-conscious and methodical
- Professional and courteous when dealing with hospital staff and site teams
