This opportunity is for Medical Nurses to work at Yeovil District Hospital.
We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis which does include nights and weekends. We have full time and part time hours available.
You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

Main duties, tasks \& skills required

To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based, patient centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whist reflecting the philosophy of care.
To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi\-disciplinary approach to patient\-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy.
Experienced Band 5 post holders will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient\- centred, evidence based nursing care

Qualifications
Essential
Degree or equivalent in nursing.
Registered with the NMC.
Experience
Essential
Have a good knowledge and understanding of current nursing practice and national guidelines.
Have experience in a relevant clinical setting
Maintain clinical competences as outlined in appendix A
Desirable
Understanding of audit and quality improvement processes.
Additional Criteria
Essential
Able to demonstrate a good standard of English language
Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to travel to other sites as required for example for training or to meet a temporary need
Desirable
Previous experience supervising junior colleagues or students
