Job Description

We are recruiting a Part\-Time Staff Nurse for a small, family\-run, dual registered nursing home in Wigston, Leicester.

The home has 37 beds and provides a supportive working environment with training and guidance available. This role is suitable for a qualified nurse who has experience in a care home or nursing home setting and is confident providing high\-quality nursing care to residents.

The role involves a mix of day and night shifts, and applicants must be able to work alternate weekends.

Shift Pattern

The role includes a mix of:

• Day shifts: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM


• Short day shifts: 8:00 AM – 2:00 PM


• Night shifts: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM


• Alternate weekends required

• Provide safe, professional nursing care to residents


• Support residents’ clinical and personal care needs


• Administer medication in line with procedures and professional standards


• Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing


• Maintain accurate care records and documentation


• Support care planning and reviews


• Work closely with care staff and senior team members


• Respond appropriately to changes in residents’ condition


• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures


• Communicate clearly with residents, families, and colleagues

• Active NMC registration required


• RGN preferred, ideally with clinical skills


• RMN may be considered with previous nursing home experience


• Previous experience in a nursing home or care home setting preferred


• Must be able to work a mix of day and night shifts


• Must be able to work alternate weekends


• Must be able to drive or live close enough to LE18 without relying on public transport


• Must have the right to work in the UK

• £19\.00 per hour with paid breaks
