Or perhaps you are the person who fixes or builds things at home? If so, make the transition to a career in technology with Thermo Fisher!

At Thermo Fisher Scientific in Eindhoven, we develop and assemble highly sophisticated electron microscopes. These instruments help save lives by making viruses and materials visible at the nanometer level.

About the Role and Work Environment

Our electron microscopes take 6 to 9 months to produce. As an assembler, you will be responsible for one or more steps in the production process. You will receive all the training necessary to perform your tasks correctly and efficiently. You will be paired with a buddy who will guide you and help you get settled in. Since you’ll be working in a cleanroom environment, you’ll need to focus on precision and cleanliness at all times.

Your work directly contributes to the creation of a high\-tech product that advances science and saves lives. Did you know our electron microscopes are used to study viruses and help save lives?

You’ll be part of a team of 15\-20 colleagues, among which both Dutch and English speakers. The work atmosphere is friendly, with plenty of opportunities to socialize outside of work. Everyone supports each other – we succeed together! Thermo Fisher regularly organizes informal activities, giving you the chance to connect with colleagues across departments.

A Day in the Life:

  • You will work day shifts, starting between 07:00 and 09:00 AM. After a quick break to get settled, you’ll change into your cleanroom suit and enter the cleanroom.

  • You will have a daily whiteboard meeting with your team, where, under the guidance of your supervisor, you’ll discuss the schedule, any potential issues, and any questions.

  • You collaborate within a diverse team of 15\-20 people.

  • You are proactively identifying and resolving system issues, working alongside your colleagues, troubleshooters, and operations engineers.
