LimeGreen Marketing is looking for a Sports Marketing Assistant to join our Birmingham City Centre team. This role is ideal for someone with a background or strong interest in sport, fitness, athletics, team competition, coaching, events, customer service, sales or promotions who wants to turn that energy into a proper career in marketing and business development.

This is a hands on marketing role, you will be part of a live campaign team representing a sports focused brand, speaking with customers, supporting promotional events, building brand awareness and helping deliver measurable campaign results. If you enjoy being around people, thrive in a competitive team environment and respond well to coaching, structure and targets, this role gives you the chance to build practical marketing experience from day one.

About the Role

As a Sports Marketing Assistant, you will support the planning and delivery of customer facing marketing campaigns across Birmingham and surrounding areas. You will work closely with campaign managers and a motivated team to help run brand activation activity, customer engagement events and promotional campaigns.

You will receive full training on the campaign, the brand, communication techniques, customer engagement, performance tracking and professional representation. Marketing experience is welcome but not essential. What matters most is confidence, reliability, being coachable and the ability to work well in a team.

What You Will Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Representing a sports focused brand during customer facing campaigns and promotional events


• Speaking with customers and members of the public to build brand awareness


• Supporting brand activation, promotional activity and customer acquisition campaigns


• Helping prepare campaign materials, event plans and daily activity schedules


• Working with campaign managers to understand targets, results and daily performance


• Learning how to track customer engagement, conversion rates and campaign outcomes


• Gathering feedback and observations from customers to support campaign improvement


• Contributing ideas to improve event delivery, audience engagement and team performance


• Maintaining strong standards of communication, presentation and professionalism


• Working as part of a driven, positive and performance focused team

What We Are Looking For

• Sport, fitness, athletics, coaching, sports studies or team competition


• Customer service, retail, hospitality, events, promotions, sales or marketing


• Working towards targets in a structured and supportive environment


• Speaking confidently with people and building positive customer relationships

• Being coached, taking feedback and improving consistently


• Working full time on site in Birmingham City Centre

You do not need a formal marketing qualification. A sports related degree or qualification may be helpful, but it is not essential. We are more interested in your attitude, communication style, work ethic and willingness to learn.

Pay, Hours and Location

Salary: £26,500 per year base salary plus performance based incentives. This is not a commission only role.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Contract: Full time, permanent.

Location: Birmingham City Centre. This is an on site role and requires daily attendance.

Start date: Immediate start preferred, although candidates with a reasonable notice period will also be considered.
