Speech and Language Therapy Assistant
This role involves working directly with children and young people within educational settings, providing Speech and Language Therapy support on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
This is a term\-time only role, working three days per week. Pay will be calculated on a pro rata basis across the school academic year.
The Speech and Language Therapy Assistant will deliver activities and interventions based on individual Speech, Language and Communication targets, which will be planned and overseen by a qualified Speech and Language Therapist (SLT).
The role will involve working across educational settings within the South West of England, predominantly in the Bristol and Bath areas. You will work closely with teaching staff, other professionals and members of the wider multidisciplinary team to support children and young people to develop their communication skills and achieve their individual goals.
You will receive regular support and guidance from qualified Speech and Language Therapists, with opportunities to discuss individual pupils, intervention approaches and ongoing progress.
As the role involves travelling between educational settings, applicants must hold a full driving licence and have access to their own car.
Pay will be dependent on relevant experience and qualifications.
Previous experience of working with children or young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs is desirable but not essential. Training and support can be provided prior to starting the role for applicants who require it.
Pay: £25,500\.00\-£28,000\.00 per year
