An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Nutrition and Dietetic Department at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust as part of our Critical Care Dietetic team. on a temporary basis, to cover a maternity leave.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Dietitian to join our friendly, proactive team on a on a temporary basis, to cover a maternity leave.

You will be supported by experienced Band 7 Dietetic Leads and will manage a varied and complex inpatient caseload across our Critical Care Units, including Cardiac, Neurosurgical, Major Trauma, Surgical and General ICUs. Working closely with the wider multidisciplinary team, you will deliver highquality, patientcentred nutritional care.

As a Specialist Dietitian, you will contribute to professional development and ongoing service improvement within the Dietetic Department and Critical Care services.

*Key Responsibilities*

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering highly specialist nutritional assessment and evidencebased advice to patients requiring nutritional support on the Critical Care Units, with a particular focus on enteral nutrition. They will also provide expert guidance for patients transitioning from Level 2/3 care to the ward environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential, as is experience in managing enteral feeding via a range of feeding routes.

Regular participation in MDT ward rounds, patient meetings and education sessions will support the development of strong working relationships and enhance clinical knowledge within the critical care setting.

The postholder will also contribute actively to the audit and evaluation of patient care practices as part of our quality assurance framework. The role provides an excellent opportunity for both professional and personal development within a supportive and forwardthinking team.

What you will bring to the role

We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following qualifications, skills, experience and knowledge:

*Qualifications*:

HCPC Registered Dietitian, please provide registration number.

Evidence of continuing professional development

Member of the British Dietetic Association (Desirable)

*Experience:*

Experience of working as a dietitian within a healthcare setting (NHS hospital Desirable) Demonstrate an understanding of the specialist area

Experience of enteral feeding

Experience of working in critical care (desirable)

*Skills \& Behaviours:*

Demonstrate good teamworking skills

Demonstrate care and compassion when working with others.

Demonstrate good workload management and organisational skills.

*Practical Skills:*

Experience of developing and delivering education or training

Able to provide an example of innovative practice using own initiative.
