About the role

We have an opportunity for a pharmacist with experience of working in a clinical setting to join our team of pharmacists. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic about providing best patient care and will provide clinical support to a range of specialist areas for a fixed period to support implementation of a new EPMA system.

Main duties

Working as a part of the pharmacy team, you will provide a clinical service in the relevant area. This will include Medicines Reconciliation on admission, prescription review and optimisation, planning and processing prescriptions for discharge.

You will contribute to the pharmacy on\-call, late night and weekend rotas.

You will be able to further develop your leadership skills in supporting foundation level and trainee pharmacists in their training. You will also have opportunity to work with Advanced Clinical Pharmacists in service development and review. There may also be opportunities to work alongside the Digital Medicine team during development of the new EPMA system.

Essential person specification requirements

Master’s degree in pharmacy.

Registered as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Completed a Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (or working towards completion) or equivalent advanced practice supported by training

You will need to have a broad experience of clinical working in a number of specialty areas at a developed level
