Job Details Salary: £19,980\-£21,641 pro\-rata

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Pattern: Term Time Only

Location: Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee School

Interviews: 10th July 2025

We have full\-time vacancies available for Special Support Assistants (there may be some part\-time opportunities), 8\.30am\-3\.30pm, Mon\-Fri, term time only. Salary grade 5 or 6 depending on experience. Full training will be provided to support your professional development.

What You Need to Succeed To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • be able to provide educational and personal support to children with learning, social and communication, physical, medical, sensory and/or behavioural difficulties and needs, both in and out of school within the school day.

  • be able to implement agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom. This could include those requiring detailed and specialist knowledge in particular areas and will involve assisting the teacher in the whole planning cycle and the management/preparation of resources.

  • support in all areas of learning, social and emotional and physical development

  • supervise and provide particular support for pupils ensuring their safety and access to learning activities

  • be proactive in creating learning opportunities for all learners.

  • promote independence, self\-esteem and confidence.
