Senior Support Worker \- Residential Children's Home

Treehouse Educare are looking to recruit Senior Support Workers to join their Residential Children's Homes located in a beautiful location in Horsham West Sussex.

We are looking for Senior Support Workers to provide a needs led service to children by adopting a person centred approach that fosters self\-awareness, personal growth and gives each person the strongest voice with regards to decision making and lifestyle choices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring a firm, caring, consistent, well ordered environment is maintained at all times

  • Supervising children and young people before and after the school day including meal times

  • To actively promote and participate in care planning, developing risk assessments, behaviour management and to attend regular team meetings.

  • Accompanying children and young people on recreational activities and demonstrating positive role modelling.

  • Liaising with other staff, professionals, parents and carers as necessary and maintaining high levels of professionalism at all times.

  • To maintain a log of all accidents, incidents or physical intervention and to challenge suspected inappropriate practice according to policies and procedures.

  • Running of shift

  • Completing Rotas

  • Oversee all relevant paperwork to comply with health and safety and keeping children safe.
You will be able to:
  • To be innovative, creative and flexible, and has an open mind and a willingness to learn.

  • Able to demonstrate empathy, sensitivity, self\-awareness and acceptance of others.

  • Maintain confidentiality.

  • To act as a positive role model at all times.

  • Attend training on a regular basis to ensure that all mandatory and personal training and development needs are met in line with company requirements.
