Location: Leicester
Job Type: Full\-time, Permanent

About Energy Concerns

Energy Concerns is a growing renewable energy company specialising in Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging and Air Conditioning.

We pride ourselves on providing a high standard of customer care, technical knowledge and project delivery, and we’re now looking for an experienced Project \& Operations Manager to join our team and help support the next stage of our growth.

This is a senior, hands\-on role for someone who is highly organised, confident dealing with customers, comfortable managing a high workload and able to take ownership of projects from initial enquiry through to completion.

We’re looking for someone enthusiastic, commercially aware and proactive — someone who can manage people, customers, priorities and problems without needing constant direction.

The Role

As Project \& Operations Manager, you will play a central role in the day\-to\-day running of the business.

You will work closely with the directors, office team, planners and engineers to ensure enquiries are managed efficiently, projects are properly organised and customers receive a professional and consistent experience throughout their journey with Energy Concerns.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing multiple customer projects at different stages

  • Overseeing projects from initial enquiry through to installation and completion

  • Liaising directly with customers and providing regular updates

  • Coordinating surveys, installations, engineers and internal teams

  • Managing diaries, workloads and project timelines

  • Ensuring enquiries and customer communications are followed up promptly

  • Monitoring CRM pipelines, tasks and outstanding actions

  • Identifying potential delays or issues before they affect the customer

  • Resolving customer and operational issues when they arise

  • Supporting customer consultations and the sales process

  • Working alongside our technical team to help customers understand recommended solutions

  • Ensuring company procedures and standards are followed

  • Delegating work across office and support teams

  • Helping improve internal systems and processes as the business grows

  • Reporting directly to the directors on project progress, customer issues and operational performance
About You

We are looking for someone with strong previous experience in project management, operations, business management or a senior customer\-facing role.

You will need to be:

  • Highly organised and able to manage a large workload

  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities at the same time

  • Confident speaking with customers

  • Professional, approachable and enthusiastic

  • Proactive and comfortable taking ownership

  • Commercially aware

  • A strong communicator

  • Able to manage and delegate to other team members

  • Calm and solution\-focused under pressure

  • Confident making decisions

  • Comfortable working within a growing and fast\-moving business

  • Able to identify where processes can be improved and help implement changes
Desirable Experience

Previous experience within any of the following would be highly advantageous:

  • Solar PV

  • Battery storage

  • Renewable energy

  • Electrical contracting

  • Construction

  • Mechanical \& electrical services

  • Technical sales

  • System design

  • Surveying
Technical solar or battery knowledge would be a significant advantage, particularly if you have experience consulting with customers, designing systems or working within a renewable energy business.

However, we are also interested in hearing from experienced Project or Operations Managers from other fast\-paced industries who can demonstrate strong organisational, commercial and customer management skills.

What We’re Looking For

This is not simply an administrative role.

We’re looking for someone who wants to become a key part of Energy Concerns and work closely with the directors to help manage and grow the business.

The successful candidate will be someone who can take responsibility, bring structure to a busy environment, keep customers and projects moving and help ensure that nothing gets missed.

For the right person, there is significant opportunity to develop with the company and take on increasing responsibility as the business continues to grow.

Salary

£42,000 – £52,000 per year, depending on experience and capability.
