What’s the role?

We’re searching for an ambitious Software Tester to help us deliver industry leading systems. You’ll be responsible for testing our in\-house development, working closely with our Development Team and the Business Improvement Team.

What do we expect from you?

We’re formalising our testing procedures and looking for someone passionate to help develop these for both projects and smaller work.

  • Perform thorough manual testing across our Kanban workflow, working closely with requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure quality is maintained at every stage of delivery

  • Analyse requirements and design clear, well\-structured test cases that cover functional, edge case, and regression scenarios

  • Carry out API testing using Postman to validate integrations and backend behaviour, ensuring data flows correctly between services

  • Run SQL queries to support testing — verifying data at the database level, investigating issues, and confirming that system changes are reflected correctly in the underlying data

  • Work closely with stakeholders across projects, building strong working relationships and understanding the business context behind what you are testing

  • Identify gaps in requirements early and contribute to risk assessments before development begins

  • Have some exposure to JavaScript and TypeScript, with familiarity around BDD concepts such as Cucumber and automation frameworks such as Playwright

  • Develop and maintain testing metrics that give the team and stakeholders clear visibility of quality and progress

  • Be proactive \- raise issues early, flag risks, and take ownership of your areas
Experience \& requirements
  • 1\+ years industry experience as a Software Tester performing manual and automated tests

  • Understanding of software testing principles, including different types of testing and the basic testing lifecycle

  • Understanding of the SDLC

  • Ability to test web applications

  • Basic knowledge on tools such as Jira and TestRail

  • Nice to have: Exposure to GIT/GitHub, Postman (API testing), Basic SQL query

  • Strong analytical and data driven decision maker

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities

  • Ability to handle complex issues whilst maintaining a positive attitude

  • Must have a desire to learn, self\-reflect and improve
Job Types: Full\-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000\.00\-£35,000\.00 per year
