Invergex Ltd is a start\-up R\+D consultancy focusing on Autonomous Systems, Robotics, Optics and Communications for Harsh Environments. Invergex provides a range of early\-stage system development and innovation services to corporate and government customers. We specialise in novel invention and rapidly exploring new conceptual ideas, prototyping, fabricating, and assisting in transforming new ideas into tangible demonstrations. Invergex focuses on finding the fastest way to reach proof of concept, allowing futuristic ideas to have their potential visualised and funded to the next level.

Role Description

Invergex is currently seeking full\-time Software Developers to join the team. Based in South Bristol, the team would work together towards the goal.

The successful candidate would be focused on supporting the development of a new IoT communications system, and the role would be a member of a team working to create a new backend service.

The Software Developer would require close knowledge of IoT (Internet of Things) technologies, Data Management, and some level of experience with Synthetic Testing environments (primarily visualised in Unity). Working mainly in C/C\# and Rust, you'll find many exciting challenges to grow your skill set.

Working within the small, agile, start\-up\-style team, the successful candidate should be ready to assist others across different areas and support all projects as the company grows. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an exciting new company at the start of its growth and to positively influence it.

Qualifications

  • Computer Science and Electronics Bachelor's or Master's Degree

  • Able to pass UK Baseline Personnel Security Standard

Experience
  • Experience working with C, C\+\+, C

  • Experience working with Rust

  • Experience working with Version Control

  • Experience with IoT Communications system

  • Experience with messaging applications/systems

  • Experience working as part of a team

Job Types: Permanent, Graduate

Pay: £35,000\.00\-£50,000\.00 per year
