Soft Furnishings Workroom Production Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced, detail\-orientated soft furnishings workroom production manager to lead our manufacturing operations in creating high\-quality soft furnishings. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the entire production process, from planning and scheduling to quality control and process improvement. As a key driver of efficiency and craftsmanship, you will ensure that our bespoke soft furnishings meet the highest standards while maintaining smooth workflow and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations within the soft furnishings workroom, ensuring timely production and delivery of custom made items.


• Oversee the entire manufacturing process, including cutting, assembly, finishing, and quality control


• Coordinate with the internal project and installation team, suppliers, and creators to align production schedules with project specifications and deadlines


• Implement process improvements using lean methodologies and continuous improvement strategies to boost efficiency and reduce waste


• Utilise a Filemaker CRM system to manage production


• Maintain rigorous quality control standards by inspecting materials, workmanship, and final products before installation


• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of skilled artisans and technicians to maintain craftsmanship excellence


• Manage the in\-house installation assistant


• Check and organise items ready for installation with the assistance of the production supervisor and assistant

Requirements

• Proven experience managing production or manufacturing operations within a soft furnishings or upholstery environment


• Strong knowledge of systems for inventory management and production planning


• Demonstrated ability to implement process improvements and drive continuous improvement initiatives


• Familiarity with quality control procedures specific to soft furnishings manufacturing


• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously


• Strong leadership qualities with effective communication skills to inspire teams and collaborate across departments

Pay: £25\.00\-£35\.00 per hour
