Social Media Marketing Support Placement
This is a placement year opportunity for students between 2nd and 3rd year.

SilverDoor Academy
A chance for undergraduate students to develop their career path, achieve their goals and take their first steps in a full\-time working environment. Our 12\-month placement scheme is specifically for those on a sandwich course and carries all the learning opportunities and exposure of permanent employment. During the placement you will learn about our group and receive regular training. Successful candidates will live together in a placement house as arranged by the company.
Successful placement students also have the chance to become permanent staff members after completing their studies. Through a structured programme the SilverDoor Academy provides a solid steppingstone to a prosperous career.
Social Media Marketing Support (Placement Year)
Social Media (60%)
· Content creation. Help create day\-to\-day posts across LinkedIn, Instagram and TikTok, including carousels, short\-form video, stories, Highlights and captions, written to each brand's tone of voice.
· Brand separation. Learn how SilverDoor and Synergy by SilverDoor differ on social. SilverDoor is corporate and B2B\-led. Synergy by SilverDoor is lifestyle and product led.
· Calendar and scheduling. Help keep the social content calendar up to date, schedule posts, and track tasks in Asana.
· Content capture. Film and photograph at properties, offices, events and team moments, then help edit it into social\-ready content.
· Design collaboration. Work side by side with our designers to bring content to life. This means helping write briefs, sharing feedback on drafts, and checking every asset is on brand and error\-free before it goes out. For quick\-turnaround pieces, they'll also try light design work in Canva or Adobe.
· Asset bank. Help organise the photo and video asset bank so content is easy to find and reuse.
· Recurring series and campaigns. Support ongoing content series and campaigns that showcase different facets of the business, from our Room for Thought podcast to seasonal campaigns. Christmas is a big deal at SilverDoor!
· Company news and wins. Help create content for company milestones, such as leadership appointments, office openings, award shortlists and wins, and support the team with award submissions.
· LinkedIn growth. Help grow our LinkedIn presence by supporting newsletter content and polls, turning results into follow\-up posts, and learning how paid LinkedIn campaigns work alongside organic content.
· Employee advocacy and employer branding. Help our people shine on LinkedIn by drafting posts for senior leaders and colleagues, suggesting content they can share, and encouraging the wider team to amplify our news. They'll also support recruitment campaigns that show what it's like to work at SilverDoor.
· Community management. Help monitor and respond to comments and DMs, and flag anything that needs escalating.
· Trends and reporting. Keep an eye on trends, competitors and formats that work, and share ideas. Help pull together monthly social reporting (reach, engagement, follower growth) and spot what's working.
Marketing Support (40%)
· Events. Help plan and deliver events, including client events, launches, webinars, roundtables and internal events. Tasks include logistics, invites, supplier liaison and on\-the\-day support.
· On\-the\-ground content. Attend networking events, client events and industry nights as our roving content creator. They'll work the room, grab photos and quick videos with guests and speakers, and help turn it all into social posts, recaps and newsletter features.
· Global events. Support content for events across our global offices, not just London, working with teams in different countries and time zones.
· Merchandise. Look after branded merch, including stock levels, orders with suppliers, and requests from teams and offices.
Skills:
· A genuine enthusiasm for social media, and ideas about what makes content work
· Confident and outgoing, happy to walk up to a room of strangers (or a senior exec) and ask for a photo or a quick clip
· A keen eye for visuals and a real attention to detail
· A way with words, including good spelling and grammar
· Organised and eager to learn
· An interest in travel, hospitality or lifestyle content
Nice to have (but we'll teach you)
· Filming and editing short\-form video (CapCut or similar)
· Using a camera beyond a phone
· Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or InDesign experience
· Running a social account (personal, society or business)
· Experience in Asana, scheduling tools, social analytics or LinkedIn Ads
