Social Media Manager
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to oversee and enhance our online presence across various platforms. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing engaging content, managing social media campaigns, and fostering positive relationships with our audience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our brand image and connect with our community through innovative digital strategies.
What you'll own
- Day\-to\-day management of all social media channels , content planning, creation, posting and community management
- Short\-form video content , filming and editing Reels and TikToks that feel native to the platform, not corporate. Think pallet reveals, unboxings, trending audio, product hauls and behind\-the\-scenes
- Trend monitoring , staying ahead of what's moving on TikTok and Instagram and knowing how to adapt it for our brand before it's everywhere
- Ideation , coming to the table with a constant stream of content ideas rooted in what the audience actually responds to, not just what looks good on a grid
- Community management , responding to comments and DMs in a voice that builds loyalty and drives repeat visits
- Live content , supporting or leading live selling sessions and product reveal streams as the operation grows
- Performance reporting , tracking what's working (reach, engagement, follower growth, link clicks, conversions) and using that to inform the next week's content
- Collaborating with the marketing lead on campaigns, promotions and key sale dates (bank holidays, Black Friday, peak seasons)
- Keeping an eye on competitors and brands in the discount / clearance space to spot what's landing and what isn't
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience managing social media for a brand or business, with a portfolio or examples of content you've created
- A strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram Reels , how the algorithms work, what makes content stop the scroll, how to use trending audio and formats
- Comfortable in front of a camera and confident filming and editing basic short\-form video content (phone\-quality is fine; authenticity matters more than production here)
- A genuine feel for trend culture , you notice what's breaking on TikTok before it's on every brand's account
- Strong written communication with a natural, engaging voice
- Organised and proactive , able to manage a content calendar without being chased
- Data\-literate , comfortable pulling analytics from native platforms and making decisions based on what the numbers show
- Experience in ecommerce, retail, discount or resale brands , you understand the audience
- Experience with live selling or live streaming on TikTok Shop or Instagram Live (not essential)
- Basic graphic design skills (Canva is fine) for static content and Story assets
- Experience growing an account from a relatively small base , you know what organic growth actually takes
- A personal social media presence or side project that demonstrates your content instincts
- £25,000 \- £32,000 depending on experience

Pay: £25,000\.00\-£32,000\.00 per year
