Social Media Manager – Beauty Industry

Prestige Hair \& Beauty is looking for a creative, enthusiastic and results\-driven Social Media Manager to join our growing team and take responsibility for managing and developing our social media presence across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other relevant platforms.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about social media, content creation and the beauty industry, and who can help us increase our online presence, engagement and customer bookings.

Our services include nail care, haircuts, hair colouring and styling, eyelash extensions, lash and brow tinting, and a wide range of other beauty treatments. We are a growing business with a strong focus on quality, customer experience and staying up to date with the latest beauty and fashion trends.

Key Responsibilities Social Media Management:

• Manage and maintain our Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and other social media accounts.


• Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar.


• Create engaging posts, Reels, Stories and TikTok videos.


• Monitor social media performance, engagement and growth.


• Keep up to date with current social media trends, sounds, hashtags and content formats.


• Develop strategies to increase followers, engagement, enquiries and customer bookings.

• Create original and engaging content showcasing our beauty treatments, services, products, staff and salons.


• Visit salon locations to collect photos and videos of treatments, staff, products, promotions and day\-to\-day salon activities.


• Work with salon staff to ensure regular and suitable content is collected.


• Take high\-quality photos and videos using a smartphone or suitable equipment.


• Edit photos and videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Stories and other platforms.


• Develop creative concepts and campaigns suitable for the beauty and lifestyle industry.


• Ensure all content is consistent with the Prestige Beauty Salon brand and professional image.

• Respond promptly and professionally to comments, DMs, messages and customer enquiries across our social media platforms.


• Respond to general enquiries regarding treatments, services, prices, promotions and salon information.


• Engage with followers and build a positive online community.


• Identify potential customer bookings and direct enquiries to the relevant salon/team.


• Maintain a friendly, professional and customer\-focused tone in all online communications.

• Develop social media campaigns to increase brand awareness, engagement and bookings.


• Promote special offers, new treatments, seasonal campaigns and salon events.


• Research competitors and current beauty industry trends.


• Monitor social media analytics and provide recommendations for improving performance.


• Test different types of content to identify what generates the best engagement and customer enquiries.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience managing Instagram, TikTok and Facebook business accounts.


• Be confident creating short\-form video content, particularly Instagram Reels and TikTok videos.


• Degree or relevant qualification in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Social Media, Media, Film, Filmmaking, Communications or a related subject is desirable but not essential.


• Experience in content creation, photography and video production/editing.


• Experience using content\-editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop or similar software would be an advantage.


• Have strong creative skills and the ability to generate fresh content ideas.


• Be comfortable taking photos and videos in a busy salon environment.


• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Be confident responding to customers through social media.


• Be organised and able to manage a content schedule.


• Understand current social media trends and how different platforms work.


• Have an interest in beauty, fashion, lifestyle and social media.


• Be proactive, reliable and able to work independently.


• Previous experience within a beauty salon, hair salon, aesthetics, fashion or lifestyle business would be an advantage.

• £18,000 – £22,000 annual salary, depending on experience.

This is not purely an office\-based social media management position.

The successful candidate will be expected to be hands\-on with content creation, including visiting our salons, taking photos and videos, collecting content from staff and treatments, creating Reels/TikToks, responding to customers and actively developing new ideas for our social media channels.

You should be comfortable working in a busy beauty salon environment and interacting with our team and customers.
