Social media manager

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to oversee and enhance our organisation’s online presence across various social media platforms, mainly being Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing engaging content, managing social media campaigns, and fostering positive relationships with our audience. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape our multiple brands, increase visibility, and connect with our community through innovative digital strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with organisational goals


• Create, curate, and schedule engaging content across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X and others if the candidate sees fit


• Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and engagement opportunities; respond promptly and professionally


• Analyse performance metrics to optimise content and campaign effectiveness


• Collaborate with marketing, PR, and other teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding


• Manage social media advertising campaigns to maximise reach and engagement


• Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in social media management and public relations


• Build and maintain positive relationships with followers, influencers, and media contacts

Qualifications

• Proven experience in social media management or digital marketing roles is preffered but not essential


• Strong understanding of public relations principles and practices


• Excellent written communication skills with a flair for compelling storytelling


• Proficiency in social media management tools such as Hootsuite, Buffer or similar platforms


• Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative content ideas and able to work a camera and Canva for picture content


• Organised with strong project management skills to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously


• Knowledge of analytics tools to measure campaign success and inform future strategies


• A proactive attitude with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast\-paced environment
