Charge Nurse - Acute

The role:
The position is for an experienced Registered Nurse to work as a Charge Nurse within Ward 11 Acute Medicine/Respiratory at the Royal Alexandra Hospital. The role involves leading the nursing team, supporting assessment, planning and delivery of specialist care, and contributing to improved patient outcomes using the Excellence in Care framework.

Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the assessment, planning and delivery of specialist care in a dynamic acute medical environment.
- Leading and engaging the clinical team to enhance the patient journey and patient experience.
- Contributing to positive clinical outcomes through the Excellence in Care framework.
- Working autonomously while also providing leadership to the ward team.
- Supporting the Senior Charge Nurse with operational tasks, including:
+ Financial oversight
+ HR processes
- Applying quality improvement methodology and demonstrating innovation and creativity in organisational practice.
- Postregistration experience in acute medical care is essential.
- Knowledge of respiratory patient management is desirable.
- Must hold an active NMC UK PIN (applications without this will not be considered).
- Ability to demonstrate strong leadership, vision, and experience in quality improvement.
