About Rufio Rufio is a pet care startup on a mission to help pet owners know more and ultimately care more for their animals. Our app is live and helping pet owners every day — and this summer, we're launching in\-person pet care services in London, starting with dog walking.
About the Role
We're looking for a Social, Community \& Partnerships Intern to help grow Rufio's organic presence across two fronts: promoting our new London\-based pet care services to local audiences, and reaching pet owners everywhere to drive awareness and adoption of the Rufio app. You'll create content that sits at the heart of our brand — reliable, prevention\-based pet care tips that genuinely educate, and funny, relatable content that makes people stop scrolling. This is a hands\-on role with real ownership; you'll be shaping how Rufio shows up online at a pivotal moment for the company.
What You'll Do
- Grow Rufio's organic social presence across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, etc.) — drafting captions, sourcing assets, and scheduling posts
- Create a content mix of educational pet care tips (prevention\-focused) and entertaining, relatable pet content
- Promote Rufio's new London pet care services (dog walking and more) to local audiences
- Drive broader awareness of the Rufio app and its pet care features to audiences beyond London
- Monitor and engage with our online community: responding to comments and DMs, flagging trends, and keeping the conversation going
- Help identify and build relationships with potential partners, creators, and brand collaborators
- Track organic performance metrics and report on what's working
- Bring fresh ideas — we want your perspective on what resonates with pet owners
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program (marketing, communications, business, or related field)
- Active on social media and familiar with what makes content work on each platform
- Strong written communication skills — you can write a caption that sounds like a human, not a brand bot
- An eye for both educational and entertaining content (ideally you've made or managed both)
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects at once
- A self\-starter who's comfortable figuring things out in an early\-stage environment
- Bonus: experience with community platforms, influencer/creator outreach, or social analytics tools. A love of animals doesn't hurt either.
