Shape how the brand is seen, heard and remembered.
Naqshi Dabka is seeking an experienced Social Media \& Brand Communications Manager to lead the development of our social media, digital communications and public\-facing brand presence.
Based in Manchester, Naqshi Dabka is an established South Asian fashion retailer with an existing digital audience and customer\-facing social\-media presence. We are bringing this function in\-house to create greater consistency, stronger creative direction, clearer accountability and a more strategic approach to how our brand communicates and grows.
This role combines social strategy, campaign planning, content direction, audience insight, public relations and brand communications — with clear ownership of how Naqshi Dabka presents itself across its digital channels.
Reporting directly to the Director, you will take day\-to\-day professional responsibility for developing and managing the Company's social\-media and brand\-communications function.
The role
You will be responsible for turning Naqshi Dabka's collections, products, campaigns and brand identity into a structured communications strategy.
You will determine how campaigns are positioned, how content is planned, how audiences are engaged, how performance is measured and how insight is converted into stronger communications and commercial decisions.
The role requires a combination of creative judgement, commercial awareness, analytical thinking and professional communication skills.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, implement and continually improve the Company's social\-media and brand\-communications strategy.
- Create structured weekly, monthly and seasonal content calendars.
- Plan communications around new collections, product launches, wedding and occasion wear, seasonal ranges, promotional campaigns and important trading periods.
- Lead social\-media campaigns from initial concept through implementation, monitoring and post\-campaign review.
- Define campaign objectives, audiences, messaging, creative requirements, publishing schedules and performance measures.
- Maintain a consistent Naqshi Dabka brand voice, visual identity and presentation across digital channels.
- Plan and coordinate photography, video, reels and other creative content production.
- Prepare briefs for models, photographers, creators and other approved contributors.
- Manage approved Company channels including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube and WhatsApp Business.
- Monitor customer and audience engagement across digital platforms.
- Develop appropriate communication approaches and escalate complaints, reputational matters or commercially sensitive enquiries where necessary.
- Analyse reach, impressions, engagement, audience growth, campaign performance, traffic and content effectiveness.
- Produce clear performance reports, insights and recommendations for the Director.
- Identify appropriate PR, creator, influencer, collaboration and brand\-partnership opportunities.
- Coordinate approved external communications and public\-relations activity.
- Monitor online brand reputation and identify issues requiring management attention.
- Follow developments in fashion, social media, digital communications and consumer behaviour.
- Review relevant competitor and market activity and identify opportunities appropriate to Naqshi Dabka.
- Maintain appropriate security over Company social\-media, advertising and communications accounts.
- Protect confidential information including passwords, recovery credentials, customer information, unpublished content, campaign plans, analytics and Company\-owned digital assets.
The successful candidate should be able to examine a campaign, channel or piece of content and clearly explain:
What happened.
Why it happened.
What should happen next.
You will combine creative thinking with measurable outcomes and use insight to continually improve how the Company communicates with its audience.
What we're looking for
We are looking for someone who combines creative instinct with professional judgement, analytical thinking and commercial awareness.
You should demonstrate relevant professional experience in social\-media management, public relations, digital communications, brand communications or a closely related field.
You should also have:
- experience developing and managing structured social\-media campaigns;
- strong written and verbal communication skills;
- excellent attention to brand presentation and detail;
- experience managing content calendars and multiple digital channels;
- a strong understanding of social\-media analytics and performance reporting;

- strong organisational and project\-management skills;
- confidence working independently and taking ownership of projects;
- sound judgement when dealing with customer\-facing or reputational matters;
- discretion when handling confidential and commercially sensitive information; and
- the ability to prioritise effectively in a fast\-moving commercial environment.
Experience in one or more of the following would be advantageous:
