Part Time Care Assistant

Job Summary

Join our compassionate team as a Part Time Care Assistant working half shifts to cover over a 7 day period 4x 8\-2pm shifts , where your dedication and enthusiasm will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support. In this role, you will provide essential care and assistance to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services, promoting their independence, safety, and well\-being. Your positive attitude and proactive approach will help create a warm, respectful environment that encourages residents to thrive. This position offers flexible hours to fit around your schedule while delivering rewarding, impactful work.

Duties

• Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote comfort and independence


• Support the development and implementation of personalized care plans tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences


• Maintain clear and compassionate communication with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent care delivery


• Help with light housekeeping tasks to keep living environments clean, safe, and welcoming


• Drive or accompany clients on errands or appointments when required, ensuring safe transportation and punctuality


• Observe and report any changes in residents’ health or behavior promptly to the supervising team


• Use IT systems to document care activities accurately and update records regularly

Skills

• Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members


• Ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to health and safety protocols


• Reliable driving skills for home care visits or transportation needs


• Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and documentation purposes


• Empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients


• Basic understanding of care home operations or home care services is advantageous


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a supportive team
