Social Care Worker
RL Management \& Consulting Agency is recruiting on behalf of Zamab Care for a full\-time, permanent Social Care Worker to join their Children’s Residential \& Respite Services.
The Role
The Social Care Worker will provide high\-quality, evidence\-based and therapeutic care to children and young people with autism, intellectual disabilities and complex needs.
This is a professionally qualified role requiring a recognised Social Care qualification and current CORU registration.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high\-quality, person\-centred and therapeutic care to children and young people. Act as Key Worker for allocated children and young people. Complete needs assessments and develop, review and update individual care plans. Support children with autism, intellectual disabilities, complex communication needs, sensory needs and behaviours of concern. Implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans and promote least restrictive practice. Promote independence, life skills, choice, participation and positive outcomes. Safeguard children and follow Children First guidance and organisational safeguarding procedures. Support personal care, healthcare needs, nutrition, medication management and health appointments where required. Maintain accurate care plans, daily notes, incident reports, risk assessments, behaviour records and other professional documentation. Work collaboratively with families, schools, therapists, healthcare professionals and multidisciplinary teams. Participate in reviews, audits, professional supervision and continuous professional development. Support and mentor Residential Care Workers through positive professional practice.
- Recognised Degree in Social Care or equivalent recognised qualification. Current CORU registration. Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals. Knowledge of autism and complex needs. Excellent communication and report\-writing skills. Ability to work therapeutically and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Full driving licence. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and sleep\-in duties.
- Previous experience within children’s residential services. Key Worker experience. Knowledge of HIQA Regulations and National Standards. Positive Behaviour Support experience. Experience working within multidisciplinary teams. Training in safeguarding, medication management and de\-escalation.

Pay: €37,500\.00\-€43,000\.00 per year
