Bloom House is a new residential service for adults with intellectual disabilities, and we're building our team from the ground up.

We're looking for caring, motivated and professional Social Care Workers who want more than just a job in care — people who want to be part of building something positive from the very beginning.

At Bloom House, you'll have the opportunity to take an active role in supporting residents to enjoy meaningful, fulfilling and independent lives, while helping to establish high standards of care and support within our new service.

About the role

As a Social Care Worker, you will:

  • Provide person\-centred support with daily living, personal care and community participation.

  • Key Working, supporting residents in line with their individual needs, preferences and support plans.

  • Support residents to develop and maintain independence, choice, dignity and meaningful relationships.

  • Plan and support activities, interests and community involvement.

  • Role\-model high\-quality, person\-centred practice and provide guidance and support to Social Care Assistants.

  • Work alongside colleagues, families and relevant professionals to promote positive outcomes for residents.

  • Maintain accurate records and ensure safeguarding, confidentiality and infection\-control procedures are followed.

  • Contribute positively to the development of the new service and its working practices.

  • Attend training, supervision and team meetings as required.
What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Caring, patient and respectful, with a genuine commitment to person\-centred support.

  • A confident communicator who can build positive relationships with residents, families and colleagues.

  • Able to work independently, take responsibility and use their own initiative.

  • Able to lead by example and support Social Care Assistants in delivering high\-quality care.

  • Organised and confident in carrying out Key Worker responsibilities.

  • Committed to promoting independence, choice and dignity.

  • Previous experience in social care, disability or a residential setting is desirable.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 7 Ordinary Degree in Social Care or equivalent.

  • Current CORU registration as a Social Care Worker.

  • Garda Vetting clearance.

  • References.

  • Fluent English, written and spoken.

  • Eligibility to work in Ireland required.

  • EU/EEA Citizenship or Stamp 4\.

  • Full Irish/EU driving licence essential.

Shift work will include days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Flexible rostering applies.
