On behalf of our client in public health, we are now recruiting Social Care Workers to join a residential service for adults with an intellectual disability. These are long\-term temporary contracts, with part\-time and full time positions available.
Main Duties
- Working with service users with intellectual disabilities
- To participate in the development and implementation of service user Care and Placement Plans and to ensure appropriate recording of same.
- To promote the rights and responsibilities of service users.
- To promote welfare of service users
- To attend team meetings and to report to the Manager on matters affecting the delivery of service.
- To make written and verbal reports to the Manager on a regular basis on the progress / development of service user care plans.
- Reporting and recording any incidents, however minor, that may happen in the course of duty.
- To be familiar with emergency procedures and to know who to contact in an emergency.
- To work as a member of a team.
- To implement relevant procedures and policies.
- To undertake ongoing professional training and development.
- To attend regular clinical supervision with external provider.
- To perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
- A recognised Social Care qualification
- CORU registration, or proof of application for CORU registration
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Strong administration and ICT skills
- High communication skills and strong written and spoken English
Work Location: In person
Pay: Salary will be in line with the current Department of Health pay scale.
