About the Role
We are looking for an organised, confident and enthusiastic Social Care Trainer \& Recruitment Coordinator to join our team.
This is a varied role combining the recruitment and onboarding of new care workers with the delivery of high\-quality training, induction and competency assessments.
You will support new employees from their initial application and interview through to induction, training, Care Certificate and ongoing competency development.
The successful candidate will play an important role in ensuring our care workers have the knowledge, skills and confidence required to provide safe, compassionate and person\-centred care.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment \& New Starters
\* Post and manage job vacancies across Indeed and other recruitment platforms.
\* Monitor applications and identify suitable candidates.
\* Contact candidates and arrange interviews.
\* Conduct interviews for care worker positions.
\* Support successful candidates through the recruitment and onboarding process.
\* Collect required new starter and pre\-employment documentation.
\* Create and maintain new employee personnel files.
\* Ensure relevant pre\-employment checks, references, right\-to\-work documentation and DBS requirements are completed where applicable.
\* Keep recruitment and employee records accurate, organised and confidential.
\* Liaise with managers regarding recruitment needs and staffing requirements.
\* Coordinate successful candidates into induction and training.
Training \& Induction
\* Deliver engaging induction, mandatory, refresher and role\-specific training to care workers.
\* Support new employees through their induction programme.
\* Deliver and coordinate the Care Certificate.
\* Deliver training including safeguarding, moving and handling, medication, infection control, health and safety, first aid, mental capacity, person\-centred care, dementia, nutrition and hydration, record keeping and other relevant care topics.
\* Adapt training to suit different learning styles and levels of experience.
\* Maintain accurate training and attendance records.
\* Monitor mandatory training compliance and renewal dates.
Competency \& Staff Development
\* Complete practical competency assessments with care workers.
\* Carry out workplace observations where required.
\* Assess staff knowledge, understanding and practical competence.
\* Provide constructive feedback, coaching and additional training where required.
\* Identify areas of poor or unsafe practice and escalate concerns appropriately.
\* Arrange reassessments where competency standards have not been met.
\* Support the ongoing professional development of care workers.
\* Promote a positive learning culture across the organisation.
Compliance \& Quality
\* Ensure training and recruitment documentation is accurate and available for audits and inspections.
\* Support the organisation with CQC compliance and quality assurance.
\* Review and update training materials when guidance, legislation or company procedures change.
\* Promote safeguarding, dignity, independence and person\-centred care.
\* Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection requirements.
\* Work closely with Registered Managers, Care Coordinators, Supervisors and the wider management team.
\*Participate in the out\-of\-hours on\-call rota when required.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
\* Experienced within adult social care, ideally domiciliary/home care.
\* Confident delivering training to groups and individuals.
\* Comfortable interviewing and communicating with potential new employees.
\* Highly organised with good administrative and IT skills.
\* Confident maintaining employee, recruitment and training records.
\* Able to assess staff competency and provide constructive feedback.
\* Knowledgeable about safeguarding and person\-centred care.
\* Familiar with CQC requirements and the Care Certificate.
\* Professional, approachable and confident communicating with people at all levels.
\* Able to manage their own workload and prioritise effectively.
Qualifications \& Experience
Essential:
\* Relevant Health and Social Care experience or qualification.
\* Experience working within adult social care.
\* Good understanding of domiciliary care.
\* Experience delivering training or supporting staff development.
\* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
\* Good IT and administration skills.
Desirable:
\* Level 3 Award in Education and Training or equivalent.
\* CAVA/TAQA or equivalent assessor qualification.
\* Experience delivering or assessing the Care Certificate.
\* Previous recruitment or interviewing experience.
\* First Aid, Moving \& Handling or other specialist trainer qualifications.
\* Experience using digital training or recruitment platforms.
The Role
This is a hands\-on and varied position for someone who enjoys working with people and wants to be involved throughout the employee journey, from recruitment and interview through to induction, training, competency and ongoing development.
You will play a key role in helping us recruit the right people, develop confident and competent care workers and maintain the high standards expected across our care services.
Pay: £25,000\.00\-£30,000\.00 per year
