Adila is a specialist technology integrator delivering Smart Home, AV, Networking, Security and Satellite TV solutions across high\-end residential and commercial properties throughout the UK and internationally.
Our projects range from single\-room upgrades through to complete property technology installations, incorporating Crestron, Control4, Lutron, CCTV, networking, Wi\-Fi, satellite TV, home cinema and audio distribution systems.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and motivated engineer to join our team.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, servicing and fault finding of a wide range of technology systems.
This is a varied role suited to someone who enjoys both hands\-on installation work and technical problem solving.
The majority of our projects are located in London and the South East; however, travel throughout the UK and occasional international travel may be required.
What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable installing new systems and fault\-finding existing infrastructure.
Whilst experience with smart home platforms such as Crestron, Control4 or Lutron is advantageous, we are primarily looking for an engineer with strong installation, diagnostic and customer\-facing skills who is eager to expand their knowledge through training and hands\-on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation and commissioning of TVs, AV equipment and home cinema systems
- Installation and servicing of satellite TV, IRS and FIRS systems
- Installation, testing and termination of CAT5e, CAT6 and CAT6A cabling
- Termination of patch panels, data outlets and communications cabinets
- Installation and configuration of network switches, routers and wireless access points
- Installation and commissioning of CCTV systems
- Servicing, maintenance and fault finding of existing systems
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and remedial works on existing installations
- Rack building, cable management and system commissioning
- Assisting with smart home and control system installations
- Interpret floorplans, wiring diagrams and technical documentation
- Produce clear site reports and communicate technical findings to clients, property managers and contractors
- Commission and test systems following installation to ensure correct operation
- Working independently and as part of a team
- Satellite TV, IRS and FIRS systems
- CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6A and fibre optic cabling
- CCTV installation and commissioning
- Networking and Wi\-Fi systems
- Ruckus, Meraki, Zyxel, DrayTek or similar networking platforms
- Crestron, Control4 and/or Lutron systems
- Audio distribution and home cinema systems
- Rack building and structured cabling
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience working within high\-end residential properties
- Experience working within occupied homes whilst maintaining a professional and discreet approach
- Previous experience working at height
- Excellent fault\-finding and problem\-solving skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Professional appearance and client\-facing manner
- Ability to communicate technical issues clearly to clients and colleagues
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Right to work in the UK
- Ability to travel throughout the UK
- Valid passport and willingness to travel internationally when required
- DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one)
