Role Purpose
The Medical Aesthetician at Be Aesthetic is a highly skilled clinical practitioner, specialising in advanced skin treatments and energy\-based device therapies. This role sits at the heart of our patient experience — combining deep clinical expertise, a passion for transformative results, and the ability to build lasting patient relationships.
As a core member of the Be Aesthetic team, you will deliver our full portfolio of skin health and device\-based treatments, driving exceptional outcomes while contributing meaningfully to clinic growth and the Be Aesthetic brand.
1\. Clinical Delivery \& Treatment Excellence
Deliver Be Aesthetic's portfolio of advanced aesthetic treatments with precision, safety, and clinical excellence, including:
– Advanced skin treatments: chemical peels, medical\-grade facials, microneedling, and skin rejuvenation protocols
– Energy\-based device treatments: radiofrequency (RF), Emface, LED
– Combination treatment programmes integrating multiple modalities for optimal clinical outcomes
You will be expected to:
– Operate all energy\-based devices safely, in line with manufacturer guidelines, clinic protocols, and regulatory requirements
– Maintain accurate, compliant, and detailed treatment records for every patient
– Provide thorough pre\- and post\-treatment care instructions, including device\-specific aftercare
– Prepare, calibrate, and maintain treatment rooms and all equipment to Be Aesthetic's standards before and after every appointment
– Report any adverse events, device faults, or safety concerns promptly to the Clinic Manager
2\. Consultations \& Treatment Planning
Conduct structured, in\-depth consultations to fully understand each patient's skin concerns, health history, and aesthetic goals. You will:
– Perform thorough skin assessments, including analysis of skin type, condition, Fitzpatrick scale, and treatment contraindications
– Design bespoke, evidence\-led treatment plans incorporating both skin treatments and energy\-based device therapies
– Align recommendations with patient outcomes, clinical best practice, and Be Aesthetic's treatment offering
– Clearly explain all treatment options, device modalities, expected outcomes, session requirements, risks, and aftercare
– Collaborate with the Medical Director to develop and refine combination protocols and ensure all treatments remain current and clinically effective
– Document all consultation findings and treatment plans accurately and in full
3\. Patient Care, Retention \& Relationship Management

– Build genuine, trusting relationships with every patient, positioning yourself as their trusted skin expert
– Deliver a consistently premium patient experience at every touchpoint, from consultation through to treatment completion and follow\-up
– Proactively maintain patient communication to support treatment continuity, adherence to protocols, and long\-term maintenance programmes
– Ensure patients feel fully informed, supported, and confident throughout their skin journey
– Provide clear aftercare guidance specific to treatments and devices used, and conduct appropriate follow\-ups
– Identify and manage patients who may need additional support or onward referral to a medical practitioner
4\. Sales \& Revenue Contribution
– Present and promote tailored treatment plans and packages in a professional, patient\-centred manner
– Support clinic revenue targets through effective consultations, treatment progression, and rebooking
– Guide all patients to rebook before leaving the clinic, ensuring consistent diary management
– Encourage appropriate cross\-referral to other clinic practitioners and treatments where clinically indicated
– Implement and reinforce long\-term maintenance programmes to support patient retention and lifetime value
– Identify upsell opportunities for combination device and skin treatments where genuinely beneficial to the patient
5\. Skincare Retail \& Product Recommendations
– Confidently recommend medical\-grade skincare products aligned to treatment plans and device protocols
– Educate patients on the role of homecare in maximising and maintaining treatment results
– Support retail sales in a professional, informative, and pressure\-free manner
– Take ownership of ordering and managing retail stock and relevant clinical consumables
– Monitor stock levels, usage, and device consumables (e.g. tips, cartridges, gels), minimising waste
– Conduct monthly stock takes in collaboration with the Clinic Manager
6\. Commercial Contribution \& Campaign Support
– Support Be Aesthetic's revenue through structured treatment plans, combination programmes, and device campaign activations
– Provide clinical input into promotional campaigns, seasonal offers, and the positioning of new device technologies
– Identify opportunities to enhance patient outcomes and clinic performance through new treatment combinations or service development
– Actively participate in the launch and promotion of new energy\-based devices or treatment modalities as introduced to the clinic
7\. Education \& Team Development
– Support the ongoing education of the clinic team in relation to skincare products, device technologies, treatment protocols, and combination therapies
– Share clinical knowledge and best practice to ensure consistent standards and a culture of continuous learning
– Attend and actively engage in manufacturer and brand training for energy\-based devices and professional skincare
– Maintain up\-to\-date knowledge of developments in aesthetic medicine, skin science, and device technology
– Contribute to team training sessions and case review discussions
8\. Compliance, Safety \& Clinical Governance
– Adhere to all Be Aesthetic clinic policies, protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements at all times
– Maintain the highest standards of infection control, hygiene, and patient safety — particularly in relation to energy\-based device use
– Ensure all documentation, consent forms, and treatment records are accurate, complete, and up to date
– Operate energy\-based devices in strict accordance with clinic protocols, manufacturer guidelines, and relevant safety standards
– Participate in clinical audits, compliance checks, and adverse event reviews as required
– Maintain valid certifications for all devices and treatments you perform, and proactively flag any certification renewals
9\. Content Creation \& Brand Representation
– Contribute to Be Aesthetic's marketing and social media presence by capturing high\-quality before and after imagery
– Support the creation of educational video content, treatment demonstrations, and device explainers
– Represent Be Aesthetic's brand professionally, authentically, and consistently both in clinic and online
– Act as a credible and knowledgeable brand ambassador for Be Aesthetic's skin and device expertise
10\. Team Collaboration
– Work closely with the Medical Director to ensure seamless continuity of patient care
– Communicate clearly and proactively with colleagues regarding patient treatment plans, clinical observations, and commercial opportunities

Person Specification
Essential:
– Recognised qualification in beauty therapy (NVQ Level 3 or above, or equivalent)
– Certified training and demonstrable experience operating energy\-based devices
– Strong knowledge of skin anatomy, physiology, and skin conditions
– Experience delivering advanced skin treatments in a clinical or medical aesthetic setting
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient\-first approach
– Commercially aware with an understanding of treatment plans, packages, and retail
– Full compliance with infection control and clinical governance standards
Desirable:
– Experience with a broad range of energy\-based device platforms (e.g. Lynton, Alma, BTL, HydraFacial) or similar)
– Medical\-grade skincare brand training (e.g. ZO Skin Health)
– Experience in a private medical aesthetics clinic environment
