What you will be doing
For our Global Headquarters, Umicore's strategic heart in Brussels and home to global functions and business units, we are looking for our Site P\&O Manager who manages all People \& Organization (P\&O) topics and activities. With a population of 350 Umicore Executives and professionals, as local P\&O contact, you are the voice towards and point of contact for employees, managers and union representatives.
As Site P\&O Manager you will guide and drive all P\&O activities on site and ensure an engaging, inclusive and great place to work for our people. The P\&O site manager Brussels also takes up a Business Partner role for several of the smaller Corporate teams based in Brussels.
Key responsibilities;
- Responsible for the Hire to Retire processes for the Brussels colleagues: pre\-boarding, onboarding, exit, etc. – the full employee journey.
- Collaborates with adjacent teams and stakeholders, communicating insights and recommendations clearly.
- Responsible for local application of global/regional corporate/P\&O programs, policies/strategy. Link between the Brussels organization and the different P\&O centres
- Analyses problems, recommends options, and implements improvements in methods, tools or data flows.
- Responsible for “sickness” management in collaboration with company doctor.
- Ensures code of conduct and values are respected and takes necessary (disciplinary) actions in case of non\-compliance.
- In charge of well\-being programme in the context of prevention.
- Overall responsibility of the local social dialogue. Ensuring stable social and employee relations at site level.
- Responsible for preparation (reporting, presentations, etc.), organisation, administration (including redaction of minutes in FR and NL), conduction and follow up of social dialogue in works council and union delegates meetings.
- Owns tasks in Human Resources Information System (HRIS), data entry, producing accurate outputs and identifying risks or anomalies proactively.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor / Master in Human Resources, Social Law, Psychology or equivalent (through experience)
- Knowledge and several years of experience in HR organization and HR processes and procedures
- Strong stakeholder management, coaching, and conflict\-handling skills
- A pragmatic, people\-oriented mindset with sound business acumen
- Communication and interpersonal relation skills: empathy, maturity and integrity
- Teamplayer with hands\-on mentality that takes initiative, drives projects and can work autonomous
- Multi\-lingual: Dutch, French, English
