Location: Inveraray (Crarae), Argyll \& Bute

We're looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our Power Transmission \& Distribution team on our project at Crarae, Inveraray. This is an opportunity to take ownership of day\-to\-day site operations, leading teams safely and effectively whilst helping to deliver a nationally important infrastructure project.

Working closely with the Project Manager, Construction Manager and wider delivery team, you'll be responsible for coordinating site activities, managing resources, ensuring compliance, and driving high standards of safety, quality and performance.

What you'll be doing

• Managing daily site operations to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to programme.


• Leading and supervising site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.


• Coordinating labour, plant, materials and equipment requirements.


• Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.


• Producing and maintaining site records, progress reports and project documentation.


• Reviewing and approving RAMS and ensuring safe systems of work are implemented.


• Carrying out site inspections, safety tours and quality checks.


• Promoting a strong Zero Harm culture and ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards.


• Monitoring programme performance and escalating risks, issues and resource constraints where required.


• Supporting project planning, sequencing and coordination activities.


• Building strong working relationships with project stakeholders, clients and local communities.

We're seeking a proactive and hands\-on Site Manager with experience delivering major infrastructure, utilities, power or civil engineering projects.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a Site Manager role within construction, utilities, energy, power transmission, substations or major infrastructure.


• Strong knowledge of construction processes, site management and health \& safety requirements.


• Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating multiple work fronts.


• The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and project documentation.


• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate teams and drive performance.


• Experience producing RAMS, permits and site documentation.


• A practical approach to problem\-solving and decision\-making.


• Good planning, organisational and reporting skills.

Essential

• CSCS Card


• Full UK Driving Licence


• Experience managing construction activities on live project sites

Desirable

• Temporary Works Coordinator experience


• First Aid at Work


• Utilities, transmission or substation project experience


• HNC/HND or equivalent construction/engineering qualification
