We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Site Logistics Manager to join our dynamic team and ensure the seamless and efficient flow of materials, equipment, and personnel on our project sites.
As the Site Logistics Manager (SLM), you will play a critical role within our EPCM environment, overseeing all aspects of site logistics to support the successful execution of our projects. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex logistical operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Logistics Planning:
- Develop, implement, and continuously update a comprehensive Site Logistics Plan tailored to the specific needs of each project.
- Define and optimize all site access routes, internal traffic flows, external delivery routes, designated unloading areas, laydown yards, secure storage areas, parking facilities, and temporary facility locations.
- Proactively adapt logistics arrangements in response to the evolving stages of construction, the activation of new work fronts, and changing project requirements.
- Ensure the Site Logistics Plan integrates seamlessly with the overall Project Execution Plan.
- Plan, coordinate, and meticulously manage the arrival of all materials, equipment, and essential construction supplies to the project site.
- Collaborate closely with Procurement, Construction teams, key contractors, and suppliers to schedule precise delivery dates and time slots, minimizing disruption.
- Implement strategies to prevent site congestion, avoid conflicting deliveries, and eliminate unnecessary material accumulation, ensuring optimal use of laydown and storage areas.
- Coordinate and manage exceptional, oversized, or heavy\-lift deliveries, including the planning and execution of crane operations and special transport arrangements as required.
- Oversee the efficient offloading and immediate onward movement or staging of delivered items.
- Establish and rigorously maintain effective site access control and traffic management systems to ensure the safety and efficiency of all vehicle and pedestrian movements within the project boundaries.
- Develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive traffic management plans, including clear signage, designated routes, and speed limits.
- Coordinate with local authorities and stakeholders regarding external traffic management and route planning for deliveries.
- Manage the flow of personnel, vehicles, and equipment to and from the site, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and site\-specific protocols.
- Implement and monitor security measures related to site access and material handling.
- Oversee the establishment and efficient operation of site warehousing and inventory management systems.
- Ensure proper storage, identification, and tracking of all materials and equipment.
- Implement measures to prevent damage, loss, or spoilage of materials.
- Facilitate regular inventory counts and reconciliation processes.
- Develop and implement a robust site waste management plan, adhering to environmental regulations and project sustainability goals.
- Coordinate the collection, segregation, and disposal of all construction and operational waste streams.
- Identify opportunities for waste reduction, recycling, and reuse.
- Lead and mentor a dedicated logistics team, fostering a culture of safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Liaise effectively with all project stakeholders, including Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Contractors, Suppliers, and local authorities.
- Conduct regular site inspections and logistics meetings to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare and submit regular reports on logistics operations, performance metrics, and key challenges.

- Strategic Logistics Planning: Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive site logistics plans aligned with project objectives, schedules, and budgets. This includes planning for material receiving, warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and waste management.
- Operational Oversight: Supervise and coordinate all on\-site logistics operations, including the management of laydown areas, construction yards, and temporary facilities. Ensure adherence to site access protocols and traffic management plans.
- Material and Equipment Management: Oversee the timely and cost\-effective delivery, receiving, inspection, storage, and distribution of all project materials, equipment, and consumables. Implement robust inventory control systems to minimize loss and waste.
- Transportation and Fleet Management: Coordinate and manage all project\-related transportation, including internal site transport and external deliveries. Oversee the maintenance and utilization of the project's vehicle fleet, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
- Subcontractor and Vendor Coordination: Liaise effectively with EPCM/EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of their logistical requirements into the overall site plan.
- Risk Management and Safety: Identify potential logistical risks and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure strict adherence to all health, safety, environmental, and security (HSES) policies and procedures on site. Promote a strong safety culture within the logistics team.
- Budget Management: Monitor and control logistics\-related expenditures, ensuring operations remain within budget. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including inventory levels, delivery statuses, and operational costs. Prepare regular reports for project management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs), challenges, and recommendations.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a high\-performing site logistics team. Foster a collaborative and results\-oriented work environment.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics operations comply with local regulations, company policies, and project\-specific requirements.

- Education: University degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in Site Logistics Management is required, specifically on major capital investment projects (CAPEX above €100 million). Demonstrated experience in sectors such as industrial facilities, infrastructure, energy, oil \& gas, etc., is essential. Proven experience operating within multi\-contractor environments (EPCM/EPC) and managing complex construction sites, encompassing both brownfield and greenfield projects, is highly valued.
- Project Governance: Experience working under an EPCM governance model, PMC (Project Management Consultancy) model, or in a role representing the end Client. Strong knowledge of planning and schedule control, document control, risk management, and project reporting methodologies is crucial.
- Skills: Excellent teamwork and collaboration abilities are paramount. Possess proven technical expertise in site logistics. Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and contribute innovative solutions to logistical challenges.
