Site Engineer – Water Treatment
Location: Crowborough, East Sussex (TN6 1XB)
Rate: £375–£400 per day
Contract: Freelance, Outside IR35
Start Date: 12th October 2026
Duration: Until July 2027
PROSITEUK are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a long\-term water treatment project in Crowborough.
The project involves a range of civils and infrastructure works within a water treatment environment, including new pipework, drainage, chambers, concrete structures, chemical dosing areas, tanks and associated groundworks.
The Role
As Site Engineer, you will support the site team with setting out, surveying and general engineering duties across the project. You will work closely with the site management team to ensure works are delivered accurately and in accordance with the drawings and specifications.
Key responsibilities:
- Setting out and surveying
- Working from engineering and construction drawings
- Setting out pipework, drainage and associated civils
- Checking levels, lines and dimensions
- Supporting earthworks, groundworks and concrete works
- Producing and maintaining QA documentation
- Recording as\-built information
- Liaising with the site management and engineering teams
- Ensuring works are completed in line with project specifications
Requirements
- Previous Site Engineering experience
- Experience within water treatment, water infrastructure or similar civils projects
- Strong setting out experience
- Experience with drainage, pipework and underground services
- Experience across earthworks, groundworks and concrete works
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Good QA and site documentation experience
- Own engineering kit and laptop
- Relevant CSCS / site qualifications
