Site Engineer (Civil)
Overview
PROSITEUK are currently recruiting for an experienced Site Engineer to join a highways scheme in Oxford Street, London.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the engineering and quality requirements of the project, with a particular focus on QA, ITPs, check sheets and setting out.
This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong highways/infrastructure experience who is confident working independently and managing the engineering and quality requirements on site.
Key Responsibilities
\- Setting out and providing engineering support across the scheme
\- Completing and maintaining QA documentation
\- Working with Inspection \& Test Plans (ITPs)
\- Completing and managing check sheets and quality records
\- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and project requirements
\- Carrying out relevant quality and engineering checks
\- Liaising with site management and project teams to ensure works are delivered to the required standards
\- Maintaining accurate site records and documentation
Requirements
\- Previous experience working as a Site Engineer on highways/infrastructure projects
\- Strong understanding of QA processes and documentation
\- Proficient with ITPs and check sheets
\- Competent with setting out
\- Previous experience working on similar highways/civil engineering schemes
\- Able to work independently and take ownership of engineering and quality responsibilities
\- Own laptop required
\- Own engineering/surveying kit required
Package
\- £400 per shift
\- Outside IR35
\- Approximately 10 weeks' work
\- Start date: 21 September 2026
\- Potential for further phases of work in the New Year
