SIA Door Supervisor

Job Overview

We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of premises, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, managing access control, and providing excellent customer service. This role requires a confident presence, strong communication skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. All applicants must hold valid SIA Door Supervisor certification and be committed to upholding high standards of safety and professionalism.

Duties

• Monitor entry and exit points to regulate access in accordance with company policies and legal requirements


• Conduct thorough surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity within the premises


• Perform loss prevention duties by identifying suspicious behaviour and preventing theft or unauthorised access


• Manage crowd control during events or busy periods, ensuring a safe environment for all attendees


• Respond promptly to incidents, including medical emergencies, by providing first aid when necessary


• Record detailed incident reports accurately and report any security concerns to relevant authorities


• Enforce rules and regulations politely but firmly, maintaining a professional demeanour at all times


• Assist with general security patrols around the premises to deter unauthorised activity

Experience

• Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence is essential


• Prior experience in security or door supervision is preferred but not mandatory; comprehensive training will be provided for suitable candidates


• Knowledge of surveillance techniques, CCTV operation, and loss prevention strategies is advantageous


• Basic first aid certification or willingness to obtain it is highly desirable


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and confidently


• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in reporting incidents and maintaining security logs
