Shopify / Omnichannel Business Analyst
Kingston\-on\-Thames*37 hours (1 day from home)* Purpose of the role
The Shopify / Omnichannel Business Analyst will play a critical role in the end\-to\-end implementation of a new Shopify\-based eCommerce platform within a fashion retail environment. The role focuses on ensuring seamless integration with existing enterprise systems—including Order Management System (OMS), Product Information Management (PIM), and Stock/Inventory Management systems—while enabling a best\-in\-class omnichannel customer experience.
This role bridges business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring requirements are clearly defined, validated, and delivered in alignment with strategic objectives.

Key Deliverables
- User stories and backlog (Agile)
- Process maps (as\-is / to\-be)
- Data mapping and integration specifications
- Test scripts and UAT coordination
- Post\-implementation review and optimisation recommendations
Essential
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst in eCommerce or Omnichannel retail
- Hands\-on experience with Shopify implementations, ideally multi\-brand
- Strong knowledge of:
- + OMS, PIM, IMS and CSM
- Experience designing and supporting system integrations (APIs, middleware)
- Strong understanding of fashion retail processes:
- + Seasonal merchandising
+ Promotions and markdowns
- Agile delivery experience, leading sprint planning
- Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with omnichannel capabilities:
- + Click \& Collect / BOPIS
+ Endless aisle
- Knowledge of integration platforms (e.g., Azure Integration Services)
- Exposure to headless commerce or composable architecture
- SQL or data analysis experience
- Experience migrating from legacy eCommerce platforms
- Strong problem\-solving and critical thinking
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management
- High attention to detail (especially data and integration accuracy)
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast\-paced environment
- Commercial awareness within fashion retail
- Successful delivery of Shopify platform implementation
- Seamless integration with OMS, PIM, and Stock systems
- Minimal disruption during go\-live and transition
- Improved customer experience metrics (conversion, availability accuracy)
