We are looking for a:

Shop Manager (32\-40 hours/ week)

Our Protest store in Designer Outlet Ochtrup opened last October, and we’re looking for a hands\-on, experienced, and commercially driven Shop Manager to build and lead the team from the very beginning. This is a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on how the store operates, how the team performs, and how customers experience our brand.

As Shop Manager, you’ll represent Protest on\-site, bringing our brand vision to life. You know how to create energy on the sales floor, motivate and coach a team, and ensure operational and visual excellence. You lead with purpose and personality, turning every visitor into a loyal brand fan.

What will you do?

As Shop Manager, you take full ownership of the store’s launch and day\-to\-day success. From team\-building and floor leadership to commercial results and customer satisfaction — you’ll steer all aspects of the store with professionalism and passion.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Lead, motivate and coach the in\-store sales team


• Optimize the visual presentation and merchandising of the collection


• Represent the Protest brand consistently and proudly


• Drive and exceed commercial performance targets


• Handle cash management and ensure proper opening/closing procedures


• Maintain strong communication with HQ and execute store guidelines


• Monitor compliance with in\-store safety procedures


• Provide an outstanding customer experience and lead by example


• Perform administrative tasks related to daily operations

• A completed vocational education in retail, commerce, or a related field (e.g. German Ausbildung or equivalent)


• At least 2 years of experience as a (Assistant) Shop Manager in fashion or sports retail


• Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills


• Strong sales drive and commercial insight


• Fluent in German and confident in English, as all communication with HQ is in English


• Energetic, flexible and hands\-on mentality


• Willingness to work Saturdays and evenings

• A contract for 32 to 40 hours/week (initially temporary, with potential for permanent position)
