We are looking for a:

Assistant Shop Manager (32\-40 hours/ week)

Our brand\-new Protest store in Designer Outlet Ochtrup opened in October, and we are looking for a hands\-on, commercially driven Assistant Shop Manager to help build and lead the team from the start. In this role, you'll support the Store Manager in shaping both team dynamics and the customer experience from day one.

You know how to motivate a team, lead by example, and keep operations running smoothly — all while creating an energetic and positive working atmosphere. You love fashion, understand retail, and know how to turn customers into brand fans.

What will you do?

As an assistant shop manager, you'll represent the Protest brand in our Ochtrup store and help create a welcoming shopping experience and work environment. Together with your teammates, you'll ensure the store looks great and customers leave with a smile.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Co\-leading and motivating the sales team on the floor


• Supporting the visual and commercial presentation of the collection


• Representing the Protest brand in\-store with pride and consistency


• Achieving commercial targets and monitoring daily performance


• Handling cash register procedures and store opening/closing routines


• Ensuring clear communication with HQ and implementing operational guidelines


• Monitoring safety protocols and ensuring in\-store compliance


• Selling our collections and advising customers with energy and expertise

• You have completed a vocational training program in retail, commerce, or a related field (e.g. German *Ausbildung* or equivalent)


• Minimum 2 years of experience as Senior Sales Assistant or Assistant Shop Manager in fashion or sports retail


• Outstanding sales and customer service skills


• Strong leadership and communication abilities


• Fluent in German and confident in English, as all HQ communication is in English


• Positive energy, flexibility, and hands\-on mentality


• Willingness to work on Saturday and evenings


• Affinity with board sports is a plus!

• A contract for 32 to 40 hours/week (initially temporary, with potential for permanent position)
