Shipping and Customs Coordinator
The company
Established in 1986 we specalise in the shipping of cars, motorcycles and vehicles from the USA, and the completion of a wide range of Customs documentation to enable International Trade. Our customer base is a combination of commercial clients and the general public. Due to expansion we are looking for a confident and professional person to join our team.
The role
As a valued part of our shipping and Customs clearance team you will work directly with a wide and varied range of stakeholders including suppliers, customers, ports, HMRC, shipping lines, hauliers and the DVLA.
Key responsibilities
Communication with customers, suppliers, HMRC and other entities involved in International Trade.
Preparation and completion of Customs declarations – import and export – with a high level of accuracy
Arranging the efficient movement of cargo
Assisting with shipping documentation
Completion of vehicle registration documentation
Support the wider logistics function of the company
Requirements
Excellent communication skills – telephone and written
Strong administration background
Knowledge of Customs clearance processes preferable
Confident IT skills including Microsoft Office
A detail orientated approach to work
Ability to integrate efficiently into a small team
Strong organisational skills
Pay: £30,000\.00\-£33,000\.00 per year
