Dental Hygienist/Therapist

We are seeking a dedicated Dental Hygienist/Therapist to join our practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high\-quality patient care, supporting oral health education, and assisting with clinical procedures. Responsibilities

• Perform professional dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup and additional clinical responsibilities as required of dental therapist if qualified as therapist .


• Conduct oral health assessments and record findings accurately in patient records.


• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.


• Assist dentists during various procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.


• Take and develop dental radiographs (X\-rays), ensuring adherence to safety protocols.


• Maintain sterilisation of dental instruments and ensure the cleanliness of treatment areas.


• Keep detailed documentation of treatments provided and patient progress.


• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records as needed.

Requirements

• Valid registration as a Dental Hygienist / Therapist with the relevant regulatory body.


• Knowledge of Exact software is advantageous for digital imaging tasks.


• Experience with medical imaging techniques, including radiography, is essential.


• Strong understanding of human anatomy, particularly oral and maxillofacial structures.


• Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and clinical procedures.


• Ability to work effectively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
