PSV Mechanic – Join Arriva

We’re looking for skilled PSV Mechanics to help keep our fleet safe, reliable, and road\-ready — including the latest electric buses and cutting\-edge vehicle technology.
£26\.35 per hour (£54,808 per year)

Full\-time \| 5 out of 7 shift rota \- (mornings, afternoons \& late shifts)

25 days holidayWhat you’ll do:

  • Carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and safety inspections on buses

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and air system faults

  • Repair engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and other vehicle parts

  • Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections

  • Complete job cards and maintenance records accurately

  • Follow health \& safety procedures at all times

  • Work closely with the workshop team

  • Assist with breakdowns and emergency repairs when needed

  • Keep the workshop clean and organised

  • Manage and order parts when required

What we’re looking for:

✔ NVQ Level 3 / City \& Guilds in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance.

✔ PSV/HGV mechanical experience \- preferably within a bus or coach environment.

✔ Strong fault\-finding \& diagnostic skills.

✔ Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

✔ Full UK Driving Licence (PCV licence \- Cat D highly desirable)Why Arriva?
