Shift Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Shift Manager to oversee daily operations within our busy hospitality environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a solid background in food service, and the ability to manage a team effectively. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring high standards of food safety and quality, and maintaining excellent customer service throughout the shift. Duties

• Supervise and coordinate team members during shifts, including front\-of\-house and kitchen staff.


• Oversee food preparation and ensure adherence to food safety standards.


• Manage daily restaurant or hospitality operations, including service delivery, cleanliness, and organisation.


• Assist with food production, cooking, and serving as needed to support team efficiency.


• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with suppliers for timely replenishment of ingredients and supplies.


• Enforce health and safety regulations, including food safety protocols.


• Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to ensure satisfaction.


• Train new staff members on company procedures, standards, and customer service expectations.


• Maintain a positive team environment through effective leadership and motivation.


• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation relating to hospitality operations.

• Proven experience in supervising within a restaurant or hospitality setting.


• Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.


• Excellent team management and leadership abilities.


• Good organisational skills with the capacity to multitask efficiently during busy periods.


• Experience in food production, serving, or kitchen operations is highly desirable.


• Familiarity with restaurant or hotel environments enhances effectiveness in this role.


• Ability to remain calm under pressure while maintaining high service standards.


• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and customers alike.


• Knowledge of health regulations related to food safety is essential.
