Salary £27,000 plus service charge

Manhattan Loft Gardens (MLG), known as ‘London Sexiest Skyscraper’, is Europe’s most ambitious 42\-storey skyscraper featuring 248 Loft apartments, a 145\-bedroom hotel, three exclusive sky terraces, a breath\-taking lobby bar and restaurant, a 7th level destination restaurant, mezzanine club and 4 event rooms. MLG is located within walking distance from Stratford International Station and Westfield Shopping Centre.

We are looking for proactive and driven Senior Shift Engineer to join our Team.

What you’ll do…

• To be responsible for dedicated floors as allocated by the Chief engineer.


• To maintain accurate records of the shift activities in the respective logbooks or systems


• To be familiar with local Fire \& Safety regulations


• To be aware of and work in accordance with the C.O.S.H.H regulations


• To conduct all reasonable duties as directed by the Chief Engineer, Assistant Chief Engineer, or management team.


• To document and carry out handover at shift change i.e. keys, radio, phone and all incomplete work orders or work in progress.


• To update the job log system with the status of all work orders within a timely manner


• To respond to job log system registered works and complete all jobs assigned within the targeted timescale.


• Liaise with any external contractors who may be employed by the hotel to carry out maintenance work.


• Ensure that PPMs are conducted regularly and efficiently and issues from them are raised!


• Conduct a daily walk around the hotel to ensure all areas are in good order.


• Ensure that all plant equipment is inspected and routinely maintained as required.


• Consult with contractors and suppliers.


• Form part of the fire team and assist in any emergencies which may arise.

• Previous experience in a similar role in a hotel is essential
