Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Setting Out Engineer to join a major infrastructure project based in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high\-profile civil engineering scheme, with the potential for long\-term work on this and future projects.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of critical infrastructure works, ensuring all setting out activities are completed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out setting out and surveying activities on\-site
Interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Ensure works are completed in accordance with project requirements
Maintain accurate site records and survey data
Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and project teams
Support quality assurance and compliance procedures
Assist with progress reporting and documentation
Requirements
Essential:
- Proven experience working as a Setting Out Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of surveying equipment and setting out techniques
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Right to work in the UK
- Previous experience working on Thames Water projects
- Relevant engineering qualification (HNC, HND, Degree or equivalent)
- CSCS Card
- Great rates of pay
